Go have a look at my Pompom headband tutorial on Huffington Post. It will show you how to make this easy headband in about half an hour. It’s pretty cheap too and will last you years if you look after it. One warning, the more you add to it the more likely it will slip off your head when you move your head. You can use hair clips to keep it in place so you don’t have to sacrifice the disco ball or anything else shiny and heavy you want to add.

I hope you enjoy making and wearing them. Get in touch if you want to come to one of my creative workshops in East London, where we’ll make pompom headdresses, feather collars, sequin bumbags, flower crowns and many other beautiful things. Prices start at £40. Email me for dates at locations.

Flower Headdress Workshop

I was asked by Adam & Eve DDB Advertising agency to run a flower and feather headdress workshop at their summer party festival. The event was held on farm land just north of London. The mini day festival had other chocolate making workshops, glitter stalls and dance tents. I was given a £400 budget for 50 – 100 people. I brought with me lots of fake flowers,  meters feather trim in 4 colours, elasticated sequin strips in 4 colours, assorted jewels and scrap material for head bands. There were 3 options for the base to mount the decoration on; alice bands, elastic bands and wire bases. The workshop was full at all times and there were some lovely headdresses created. A few accidents were had with drink spillage’s but nothing that couldn’t be undone. They were a lovely bunch and I had a great day…. which also happened to be my birthday! 🙂
