I designed the branding and app layout design for this app that tests partner compatibility. The app was developed using psychological tests developed at Harvard. The idea behind it is based on tapping into your subconscious mind. The app flashes photos of your partner very quickly and you are asked to pick a word corresponding to that image. I’m not sure what action one takes after getting a bad result. It’s potentially something a dating website could use.
The client gave a clear but open brief to create a look and feel that would appeal to a mainly female audience but not to exclude males. I wanted to combine the science angle with a social, trendy one by using a textured background with graph paper. The brand colours blue and red were to indicate hot and cold in reference to the ‘love’ results. The client was very happy with the work and the whole project was turned around in record time.
